NCTE REALM First Class Award

In 2023, schools in 46 states and five countries nominated 375 student magazines. Magazines from middle school, high school, and higher education were welcomed for the 2023 contest. 108 magazines were awarded the contest’s highest distinction, REALM First Class.

Haku Hou Grant

2024/25 Haku Hou grant competition winner awarded by the Hawai’i Foundation for Educators. Grant awarded based on the innovative ideas that support student engagement and creativity through The Waialuan.

The Waialua Art Show

The Wailaun team supported and facilitated the first ever art show at Waialua High and Intermediate school, featuring student and staff work from the local school community including Waialua and Haleiwa Elementary schools.
